The Amantys Intelligent Power Switch is a new class of device, bringing together a power switching device (such as an IGBT), with advanced analogue and digital control to simplify the design of new power converters.
What it is:
The Intelligent Power Switch integrated power transistor, gate controller and microprocessor in close proximity, allowing tight control of switching characteristics:
- Communicates through an open-standard digital interface
- Programmable characteristics, such as dV/dt
- Independent of underlying material technology (Si, SiC, GaN)
What it does:
The Intelligent Power Switch controls and monitors the power switch to achieve defined behaviour. It maintains consistent performance over varying conditions, and provides local control with remote visibility.
